Updated IPs mean More Reliable Access to Library Resources on Site

Dear Ascension WI Associates,

We recently updated our AW IP (internet protocol) addressees with our library database vendors and Badgerlink.  IPs are used to authenticate our associates with our vendors, who then allow access to our subscribed library resources such as Clinical Key and Cinahl or our eBooks and  eJournals.

Please note: IPs cover the physical work sites and/or VPNs.  It does NOT cover mobile access.  that's a whole other ball of wax ...

If you have had problems with access issues in the past, please try again.  Our current list of IPs is registered with our vendors, and that may solve some of the on-site access issues you may have experienced.   Apologies for any inconveniences.

If you notice problems with access issues to any of our Library databases, please let us know so that we can work to solve the issues.  Ascension Wisconsin is so geographically spread out statewide that it is impossible for the Librarians to know there's a problem with access in an IP we don't live and work in unless you alert us.   We're in this together!  We want to make sure you have access to the resources we've paid for.  That's good stewardship.

Another note: There are different processes of authentication for remote access to Library resources.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
