Coming Soon: Easier Off-Site Access with OpenAthens


Watch for a long-awaited enhancement to the Ascension Wisconsin Library Services online resources.  

  • We will soon be implementing OpenAthens for remote authentication.  
  • This service will make it easy to access library resources from outside the Ascension Wisconsin network, without Citrix or VPN.

Instead of setting up individual accounts for our databases, ebooks and online journals, users will log in to OpenAthens with their Ascension credentials and will be taken seamlessly to our online content.  You will only need to log in once for each session and can connect to multiple resources.  This is a long-awaited improvement in access for remote workers.
