What is Nursing Reference Center Plus?

Nursing Reference Center Plus is an evidence-based reference tool for nurses at the point-of-care.  

NRC Plus includes:

NRC Plus is considered an excellent source-of-truth for current nursing skills & procedures.  After your local policies, NRC Plus should be the go-to reference that will help you provide consistent and highly reliable care across Ascension.

The January 2024 Art In Medicine topic is about Frank H. Netter.

Lucinda Bennett, the Medical Librarian at Ascension St Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, MD,  publishes a regular series on Art in Medicine and The Health Humanities.    

It's only 1-2 pages with gorgeous images, so it won't take you long to read ... and just might enrich your life.   

This month, Lucinda is featuring Frank H. Netter, best known for his medical anatomy illustrations.  

If you have picked up an anatomical atlas at some point
during your educational or professional career in medicine,
chances are you have seen the work of Frank Netter. An
artist who turned to surgery and then back to art again, the
works of Netter have become synonymous with medical
education as well as realistic artistic representation of the
human body. This month we will examine the history of
medical illustration and the impact of this 20th century artist
on the genre.
