December's Art In Medicine topic is about CPR Mannequins.
Lucinda Bennett, the Medical Librarian at Ascension St Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, MD, publishes a regular series on Art in Medicine and The Health Humanities.
It's only 1-2 pages with gorgeous images, so it won't take you long to read ... and just might enrich your life.
This month, Lucinda is featuring CPR Mannequins.
We are happy to announce that our very own Ascension Wisconsin Medical Librarian, Michele Matucheski has been named the 2023 WHSLA Librarian of the Year!
This career award is bestowed upon a professional (MLS or equivalent) librarian in recognition of outstanding leadership, achievement and commitment to the library profession. The librarian shall be currently employed in a Wisconsin health sciences library and must be an active member of WHSLA.
Michele was nominated by Brenda Fay at Advocate (formerly Aurora) Health Care, who highlighted Michele's service to WHSLA over the last 19 years, as well as also her kind, collaborative, and supportive nature, which has helped many WHSLA members over the years.
Michele received a plaque, flowers, and lunch with one of her favorite people.
The Atlantic is continuing it's holiday tradition with the 16th annual Space-Telescope Advent Calendar, featuring images from both NASA’s Hubble telescope and its new James Webb Space Telescope.
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Peace on Earth.
