Tech Talk: Retire IE and Set Chrome as Your Default Browser

In some parts of Ascension Wisconsin, your internet browser may still be defaulting to the old, long-retired and now defunct Internet Explorer (IE).   Most of us said farewell to IE a few years ago, but it's still hanging on ...  

Using the old IE may cause problems with viewing current web pages (including The AW Library web pages and Good Day Ascension). Since Chrome is now our standard browser across ALL of Ascension, this is how you can change the settings on your own work computer to default to Chrome instead of IE:

Here are the instructions from Connie at the AIT Help Desk:

1. When you are logged into your computer, click the START button in the lower left corner.
2. Search "Default Apps"
3. Then you can switch from Internet Explorer to Chrome
