The Cleveland Clinic addressed several questions about Covid vaccines and boosters in a recent Health Essentials article from October 20, 2021.
Questions addressed:
- What is the difference between a Covid-19 vaccine 3rd dose and a booster shot?
- Who is eligible for the 3rd dose or booster shot?
- Why might some people need the third dose?
- How would a non-immune-compromised person know if they need a booster shot?
- How does the Johnson and Johnson vaccine fit in all of this? That was a 1-shot vaccine that isn't using messenger RNA.
- If you are not immune-compromised, how will you know if you had a good response, or a not-so-good response?
- What would your advice be for people who are eligible right now for a 3rd dose?
- Especially with the delta variant, it seems like now is more important than ever to get vaccinated if you haven't yet to stop this virus from mutating and potentially getting more transmissible or lethal?
